Millcreek Canyon
Millcreek Canyon was built around the 1800's when the settlers first arrived in the Salt Lake Valley. They used this canyon as a resource for lumber. It's streams were also used to power the mills that produced flour.
It is now a popular recreational area. Millcreek has biking and hiking trails going up the canyon, and it offers the best view of the valley. It also has trails that are perfect for hiking or mountain biking. Another feature of the Canyon is that it connects with the Parley's Canyon Dog Park. Millcreek trails allow dogs off leash on odd calendar days. Millcreek also has 2 restaurants and many picnic areas. So whether you are looking for a place for photographs, or just to enjoy nature, Millcreek Canyon is the perfect place for you! |

Various waterfalls are also located along the trails. These would work well for practicing long exposure and motion photography. |
