Wheeler Historic Farm
If there is one single Arcadian place on this planet that has a hint of manure in the air, its Wheeler Farm. Here, birds are friends with cows and ducks and ducklings march together in perfect harmony.
Wheeler Farm was established in the late 19th century, and as more than one century has gone by, nothing seems to have changed. In 1969 the farm became part of Salt Lake City's recreational sites and is accessible today to the public. With its respectable size of 75 acres, it is a fine location that should be in every photographer's repertoire. |
ArchitectureThere isn't much structural photography at this location. But there are several barns that would work well with animal photos.
PortraitThere are many applications to this venue. Wheeler Farm's is best utilized for senior photography, bridal photography, couple photography, family shots, landscape photography and nature photography.

NatureThroughout the park there are many trees and hills. Located at the center of the park is a pond that is a favorite destination among Utah's duck and geese population. At other parts, you can meet cows and horses. Though the animals are incredible additions in your photography, these animals serve agricultural purposes and therefore should not be touched, unless you are into biting and kicking.
